Optional Adventures
Below are some regular adventures we take as a pack. We have also visited sites such as the Springfield Armory, Beneski Museum, Magic Wings, and gone bowling and tubing.
Pack Hikes
Pack hikes are usually scheduled once a month during the warmer months. We take a break during the snowy months as trail conditions are not usually ideal for scout feet. Hikes usually occur within a 30-45 minute radius of town and we try to make sure the hikes are suited for all ages. If a hike might prove challenging for some, we will make that information available.
Austin Farm
Fall is not complete until you are lost in a corn maze! Each year, we work with Austin's Farm to feed some cows and wander through a maze all while supporting a local business.
Pinewood Derby
Each year, we unleash the scouts' creativity on a block of wood. The differences between the "cars" that take to the track are amazing. Wheels fall off, cars zip past barricades, and giggles go around.
WHOA at Camp Moses
Our scouts usually travel to Camp Moses twice a year to enjoy all our local Council has to offer. Some activities include archery, escape room, rock wall, and other cool things.
Pack Swims
During the colder months, the pack descends upon the Chestnut Community Pool and enjoys a splash. It is a great way to break up the long, dark winter months.
